Chair, Vice Chair and 7 Directors Selected in SEARCH Board Election

New title

The SEARCH Membership Group has elected nine individuals to serve two-year terms on the SEARCH Board of Directors—to positions that include Chair, Vice Chair, State Director, and At-Large Director.

Members cast their votes virtually from July 1–12, and the results were announced Monday, July 23, at the 2024 SEARCH Annual Membership Group Meeting, held at The Horseshoe Las Vegas Hotel in Las Vegas, NV.

The terms of the newly elected Chair, Vice Chair and Directors will expire July 2026.

Chair Jason Bright

Mr. Bright is Program Manager, Criminal Records & Identification Services Section, Division of Criminal Investigation, Montana Department of Justice. He was elected to his second term as Board Chair and has served on the Board since 2018.

Vice Chair Adam Dean

Mr. Dean is Deputy Commissioner of Operations and Innovation, New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services. He was elected to his first term as Board Vice Chair. He has served on the Board since 2022.

Board Directors – State

Elected to the Board were the following five State Members, representing the states of Connecticut, Delaware, Idaho, Missouri, and Wisconsin:

Mr. Dane Silcox, Manager, Bureau of Identification, Records and Crime Analysis, Connecticut Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection. Mr. Silcox has served on the Board since 2023, having stepped in to complete the term of a departing Board director. He was elected to his first full term on the SEARCH Board.

Ms. Lisa Voss, Assistant Director, State Bureau of Identification, Delaware State Police. Ms. Voss previously served as Board Vice Chair from 2022–2024 and has served on the Board since 2019.

Ms. Leila McNeill, Chief, Criminal Identification Bureau, Idaho State Police. Ms. McNeill was elected to a new term on the Board, having previously served from 2019–2023.

Major Christopher Jolly, Commander, Technical Services Bureau, Missouri State Highway Patrol, was elected to his first term on the SEARCH Board.

Mr. Bradley Rollo, Director, Crime Information Bureau, Wisconsin Department of Justice. Mr. Rollo has served on the Board since 2023, having stepped in to complete the term of a departing Board director. He was elected to his first full term on the SEARCH Board.

Selected as alternates to the Board are these SEARCH State Members, who will step on the Board if a vacancy occurs:

Board Directors – At-Large

Also re-elected to the Board were two At-Large Members:

Mr. Dan Foro, Senior Advisor, New York State Sheriffs’ Association Institute. He has served on the Board since 2014.

Dr. Jeffrey Sedgwick, Executive Director, Justice Information Resource Network. Mr. Sedgwick was elected to his second term on the Board, having served since 2022.

Continuing to serve on the SEARCH Board, with terms that expire in July 2025, are the following four State Directors and one At-Large Director:

Major Charles M. Coats Jr., CJIS Director, South Carolina Law Enforcement Division

Ms. Erin Henry, Division Director, Information Services Division, Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation

Ms. Michelle Kleckler, Division Director, Criminal Justice Information Center, Michigan State Police

Ms. Ivy McMillan, Special Agent in Charge, Criminal Information and Identification Section, North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation

Mr. Bob Wessels, Vice Chair, Texas Judicial Committee on Information Technology (At-Large)

Mr. Matthew Ruel, Director of the State Bureau of Identification, Maine State Police, continues to serve on the Board as the permanent Open Justice Broker Consortium representative.

Departing the Board are state directors Ms. Michelle Farris, Texas Department of Public Safety, who served from 2022–2024, and Lt. Col. Larry Newton, Kentucky State Police, who served from 2020–2024.
