SEARCH is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Chris Andrist to the SEARCH Membership Group. He was appointed by Colorado Governor Jared Polis on July 17, 2020.
Mr. Andrist is Deputy Director of Criminal Justice Information Systems for the Colorado Bureau of Investigation. He is responsible for the overall administration for the agency and all criminal justice information systems maintained in the Support Services Division.
These systems include the Biometric Identification and Records Unit, the state repository for criminal history record information, which provides critical background checks; the Crime Information Management Unit, which oversees crime statistics reporting and the Colorado Crime Information Center database, among other tasks; and the InstaCheck system for firearms purchaser background checks.
